Sorry for the very long break in blogging! Here are some photos from my first art show since I became Mrs. Carter! It was my second Stitch Rock. It is a great art show in downtown Delray. It is at a old schoolhouse gym. I just love it. It was so fun to be next to my sister and her peace owls again too! :)

We got a new puppy! Daisy Mae is a rescue from Golden Rescue South Florida. We just love her! And Chloe is happy to have a new friend! It was my hubbys dream to have a golden retriever and we are so lucky to have her!

Sorry for so many wedding photo posts, but there is just so many photos to share! Well one of the things I wanted most for my wedding day was DANCING! I just love to dance, and was so happy that everyone was dancing on my wedding day! It was so much fun! Our first dance was to Oasis- Wonderwall, we just love that song! It was amazing. My dance with my Dad was Its a Wonderful World and my husband and his Mom danced to Dancing in the Moonlight! :)

Our wedding reception took place at Palm Club clubhouse, which is right on the beach! It was a beautiful sunny day! The wedding was very diy and was a mix of vintage and beach. Me and my fiance spent our weekends gathering lots of seashells and driftwood. We made all of our table numbers and signs with driftwood. I made our cake toppers from clay and my fiance made the wire legs for the birds. My Mom and I gathered lots of vinatage hankerchiefs and doileys to make garlands. My little sister (the flower girl) and my daisy flower crown was made by my husbands Nana. My husband made our arch, which is now in our garden! And we also made our photoboard with vintage fabric and chicken wire! I loved all the details in our wedding, it all came together beautiful!

Well I have been so behind that I forgot to post some of my favorite items that I got for Christmas! My sister got me these ADORABLE vintage napkins and placemats with retro flowers and a dachshund screenprinted on them by Cakehouse. And the scalloped bunting below also on Etsy by Sweetjessie. Sugar House Holiday Bazaar & Barkistmas at the Briny Pub!

I had two shows on Saturday one was the Sugar House Holiday Bazaar at the House of Vintage in Delray Beach and the other was Barkistmas at the Briny Pub which was a fundraiser for Get a Life Pet Rescue. It was a long day! Chloe came to both shows and had so much fun making new friends. And it was actually cold here in FL! It was 50 degrees, which is very cold to us! The shows were actually pretty slow so I have lots to update in the Etsy shop! But I had a ton of fun doing them anyways! It is getting so close to Christmas, YIPPEE! :)

Make everyone smile this holiday season!!! Well I am sorry I have been missing again! I have been so busy! I am preparing for an art show this Saturday called Green Saturday! It is at Cinema Paridiso in Fort Lauderdale and it is the longest art show I have ever been in! It is from 11am- 10pm! But I am excited and happy my sister will be there with her peace owls too! Well it is almost Thanksgiving! Yippee! I have so many things to be thankful for this year! It has flown by! But I am so thankful for my health, family, Chloe dog, and of course my fiance! Here are a few more pictures from our weekend in the keys! I am so happy to be engaged! My ring is sooo pretty! It is opal and handmade, and he found it on Etsy! He even did research and found out opal is australian tradition for an engagement ring bc he knew I loved opal. And he surprised me during the sunset! The weather was so great in the Keys and I am so happy Chloe got to come! :)

I had the day off work for Veterans Day yesturday! I spent some of my day painting some custom orders for the holidays! I also loved spending time with Chloe! Here she is sitting in the chair by the sunshine! I caught her napping. Dachshunds are good at napping. Now I have to go back to work today. But I am escaping to the Keys this weekend with my boyfriend and Chloe! :)

We went to the historic Venetian Pool in Coral Gables on Sunday! I had never been before! It is so beautiful and was built in 1923! Every year they have a dog day and we had to go! Chloe had fun swimming with all her dog friends!

We went to a early halloween dachshund costume party at the dog park on Sunday. It was so cute. Chloe was a lobster and won funniest costume! She fell in love with a pie bald doxie. They chased each other around the park. Her costume fell off and she kept running. Oh puppy love!

Okay so everyone knows I love dachshunds! Well I found this Etsy shop that I absolutely LOVE! They are super sweet and creative. It is Life with Tigers from Brooklyn! I fell in love with there stuffed doxies with retro fabric bellies! The picture below is Abner the doxie! They also have kitties, monkeys, cute dachshund cards, felt mushrooms, cute prints, and more! Stitch Rock indie craft fair and bazaar was on Saturday! It was soooo much fun! There was a line around the building before it opened! And my booth got to look at my sisters lovely Peace Owls! This was the biggest art show we have done yet, and it was so fun! Last year we went to it as customers this year it was so great to be a part of it! I loved everyones booths! Lots of sweet things and a vintage store I can't wait to go to! :)

A big HUGE thank you to Baxter the doxies mom for making it for Chloe!!! We love it sooo much! She let me pick out the fabric from some adorable choices! I love the retro flowers of course! She is so talented!!!! It is the best harness I have ever seen!!! It is my first art trade and I couldn't be happier!! Now Chloe truly is a "hippie dog"!

Its Friday again! Yay! This Saturday my paintings will be at this event! It is sponsered by the Dachshund Rescue South Florida! It will be a lot of fun, and of course, Chloe will be there! And I love that it is Italian themed! I am half Italian and would love to go to Italy one day! I love gondolas! The closest I have ever been is seeing them at Epcot with Carter this year! Oh and he still is working in Cape Cod and will be back next week! I can't wait! :)

Hello! This weekend I painted some new paintings and I sewed an apron! Well please don't judge it to carefully! I have never sewn anything before, and wish I could sew! I wanted to make an apron for change at art shows or supplies! So here it is! Oh and I did cheat and use a hand held sewing machine. And I will be better some day, hopefully!

Costa Rica- Pura Vida!

I am home! Sorry for the delay! My boyfriend left this morning for 3 weeks for a job in Cape Cod! So I am bummed, but happy for him bc its a good opportunity. The longest we have been apart is a week. But I am home with Chloe dog! Costa Rica was beautiful! I loved finding sea shells every morning, cafe con leche, sunsets, dogs that all reminded me of Chloe, zip line through the rain forest, waterfalls, banana smoothies, avacado and toast, seeing tucans, the ocean, finding wild horses on our walk, and being with my family all week. Theres so much more too. I have way to many photos, my computer got mad at me! I will share more soon!

Good bye friends! I am off to Costa Rica for a week! I am so excited. I will be home on Aug. 22nd. A week off work enjoying the sunshine and adventures every day! The only bummer is I have to leave Chloe and my boyfriend behind! But at least he will be watching Chloe. I hate being away from them! But I am looking forward to spending time with my family! I will take lots of photos! I got a new camera! Which took these photos. :)
I found my retro suitcase on Etsy and fell in love! I want to travel to all the places on it and more! It came with me when I went to the Bahamas! I found it in Red Comb Vintage's shop! Check it out for lots more good finds!

I heard this story on the radio and had to know more! The couple from the Woodstock album is still together, 40 years later, proving that true love really lasts!

Today I have sold two more paintings to a very nice lady Sharon! One is for her daughter who is getting married in Sept. and the other for a friend of hers whos doxie has sadly passed away. I hope both of the paintings bring joy to there new homes! My other good news today is that I have 100 followers now! YIPPEE!! Now I would be doing a more exciting post but I am down in the dumps because Chloe isn't feeling good. I am not sure whats wrong, she has been laying around lazy and whimpers a little like her legs are hurt. I will see in the morning if shes feeling better, I hope so! But here are my two paintings I sold today, making my 20th sale on Etsy! Thanks for following my blog! You all are the best! Hope you are all having a great week! :)

Fireworks & Fourth of July LOVE!

I hope everyone had a great Forth of July weekend! Mine was great! We spent the whole day at the beach! Even for the fireworks! The photo above is of fireworks that night! I am so proud of it! I never get good firework photos! I love the colors! There was sunshine all day, and the water was crystal clear! We even had free cotton candy and snow cones! And at night we had a fish bbq and the boys had a fireworks war. Which is always fun to watch!

I had my first art gallery on Saturday! I have my paintings on display at Masters of Tails, a puppy boutique in downtown Hollywood. There was a dog friendly art walk on Saturday night. It was fun! Some of my favorites from the day was yummy snow cones, cute dachshunds, a very cute golden retriever, and of course friends and family coming by! :)

I bought these cute little daisy earrings from Umbrellastand on Etsy! I just love them! And I was so surprised when I got the cute little flower ring with it because I was the 50th customer! It really made my day! I just love her shop it is so cute! I have been wearing my new jewelry since the moment I opened it! :) (The Love dish is made by me!)

On Saturday I got to have a booth at Cuisine & Cocktails with your K-9 at the Briny Irish Pub! It was so great! I am a member of the Broward Dachshund meet up group, and found out about it through them. I got to be a vendor last minute and had a blast! It was a great event, you got to bring your dog to eat in the restaurant. And donations went to Get a Life Pet Rescue which was great! Chloe had a blast meeting new dog friends! ♥

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I didn't end up going to the Keys, but it was still a good weekend! Me and my sis thrifted a little and there are some new finds in our new vintage shop Double Vintage! And here are some paintings I have done lately, and the retro flowers one was listed in my shop last night!
Oh and by the way I went to Target with my boyfriend yesturday and was happy to see Orla Kiley was 50% off! I didn't think it would ever go on sale! I held back and only got a cute mug, but you may want to check it out! And trust me I did get my share of Orla Kiley goodies from Target! :)

So my weekend was quite an adventure! Some highlights were art booth with friends, bubbles, foam party, pool, sunshine, face painting, smores, friends, camping, sea shells, sweet potatoe fries, free henna tattoos from booth neighbors, Sunshine Skyway bridge, St. Pete, many laughs and so much more. The only bummer was my car over heated many times on the way home. But my friends followed us home in there car and we made it home eventually! Luckily I had AAA and was able to get it towed for free! And it was a fun adventure anyways! By the way my headband is made by my friend Rose ! She will be starting an Etsy shop soon with them!

Raindance Art and Music Festival ♥

Happy Friday!! I can't wait to be off work! I am leaving for Tampa for me and my sisters first art show Raindance this weekend! She made large owl paintings to decorate the festival and gets to go early to set up! It is going to be very fun! We will be camping there with friends. And Chloe is coming too, which is so great! I went to Greynolds park on Sunday for the Art & Music fesitival "Love In"! It was so fun! And I was so excited that Chloe got to come! I used to go to Greynolds Park as a kid, it is in Miami. It has a coral castle fort. The festival has been going on for years. Next year me and my sister are hoping to be a part of it! Did I ever mention I was born in the wrong era, because its true!

Yippee its finially Friday! And its Chloes 2nd bday today! The picture above is the day I got her! I actually got Chloe from a family who couldn't keep her. I saw online an ad for a "Loving Mini Dachshund", and fell in love! The day she came she was sooo little! She was hopping over the grass which looked taller than her! Well shes gotten bigger and we have been on many adventures since then! The picture below is one of our first car rides! And the video is Chloe frolicing and swimming in the Keys on one of our road trips!

I am in a pottery class with my mom and sister. It is really fun. We have been taking it awile now, well really just since we don't have our own kiln! And you just go and make whatever you want. I love going. My favorite thing I made lately is my clay doxie, I made one before Chloe's colors . But I love the crackle paints, they look retro to me! I'm not sure yet, but you may find some in my Etsy eventually, or at my first art show Raindance! :)

Back to work. Counting down the days until the next weekend! Well this weekend I enjoyed painting all day Saturday with my sister! These are two new ones I did! Were getting ready for Raindance Art & Music festival at the end of this month! She is making large owl signs for it and they look soo good! Also this weekend I got to see my little sisters end of the year dance recital! It was soo cute! This years theme was Under the Sea, my favorite! :)

I painted Carter a dolphin for our three year! I gave it to him after our trip and made him speghetti dinner. We like making gifts. He has made me some awesome things! He made me a mosaic tile with a heart with really cool tiles and one of my favorites before was a mosaic of Chloe doing her begging trick! I think handmade gifts are the best! In other news my sister rescued kitten while I was gone! Her name is Dandelion and Chloe thinks shes her new best friend. Hopefully they will be! Hello there...I'm home!

I'm back from my road trip! It was amazing! Here are some highlights of my trip: water falls in pools, sunshine, picnic, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Soarin ride, Splash Mountain, Its a Small World, eating diner in Japan, being in Italy (Epcot), fireworks, lazer show, sweet hotel, and of course being with my awesome boyfriend. The trip was great! The only bummer was Space Mountain was closed. But every ride was so fun. He hadn't been since he was 4 and I hadn't been for 4 years. I missed Chloe since she couldn't come! Well here are some photos! I have a ton! :)

My boyfriend got me Mickey in Italy! I wish we could have rode the gondalas! Oh well! I hope you have a good week! :)

Thats what my boyfriend said to me on our Saturday beach adventure! I love our walk to the lighthouse! See my older blog post Sunshine! We found lots of treasures (drift wood, sea shells, even 2 old wine corks), swam in the ocean, he tried to catch some fish, and had a lot of fun. I love living in Florida! I plan on making some paintings soon with some of my shells and coral! Also more photos in flickr! :) ♥

I baked two cakes tonight! We are having a Easter bake sale at my work for March of Dimes! I am not much of a baker so I am proud of my cakes. They are funfetti peep bunny love cakes (my own creation). :) I made two so I could have one for myself (well not JUST for me!). Funfetti cake is my favorite!! ♥ ♥

Doxie & Rottie Custom Painting! ♥

I got to do another custom painting! It was for Mary who has a doxie and a rottie. It is painted on a 8x16" canvas. She wanted a green background and the retro flowers with some little birds. She sent me some adorable pictures of her dogs, one of them is below! I loved how her rottwieler was smiling in all the pictures. I met Mary through her doxie Lilys twitter! She is very nice, and I hope she loves the painting as much as I enjoyed making it for her! I look forward to doing more custom paintings in the future! :)

Hey everyone! I want to say a big thanks and hello to my new followers! I have just started this blog a few weeks ago, and am happy to have all you nice followers! So I ask you today, what inspires you? I am greatly inspired by my doxie Chloe (duh, I know) but I am also very inspired by the ocean! So I am putting up two pictures I did today for fun! One is tiny a 5x7 and the other is 8x10. I love painting sunsets. I used to be a surfer and mostly spent my time painting waves and palm trees, which is still very fun! You can see some of them in my flickr! Well I guess it is also easy to love the ocean when you live in Florida! I also love this ballon photo on the right, it feels inspiring to me also! ♥ Also I am happy to say I had another Etsy sale today! :)

Today was a good morning for my doxies! First I saw that they were on Lova Revolutionary's blog for the Flickr Finds! She put up my Retro Flower Doxie with Bird on the nose! Today I found out that my doxies are on Jars of Cute!! I am so excited. Jars of Cute is a very cute site! I love to visit it! If you haven't yet make sure you do! Sunshine.. My story ♥

So on Sunday I went for a walk on the beach with my boyfriend and Chloe! It was fun and we found lots of sea shells and drift wood. I actually had surgery last month. I am proud of it. I kind of randomly found out I had a very rare form of cancer. It was able to be removed since it was contained. I now have one lung, but am healthier than before! It is a crazy story I know. And I am just writing this because I hope to be inspiring to others. I never thought why me through out this crazy time. I feel so lucky to be here to tell my story. And have lost some loved ones to cancer. You never think it will happen to you. But I have spent my time now painting and being with the ones I love. I will be going back to work in the second week in April. So I still have more time for some adventures. But I just thought I would share that little bit about me, not for sympathy, but so you all take everyday and love it! I am so happy with my life! And it has been a blessing. =) Anyways this post was really just to show cute pics of Chloe from our walk. But I thought I'd share that. I guess it was time. I felt great on my walk and plan to do it every week now. =) ♥
